Things more stable than man

The Self, Divinity, Life—this living reality, with thousands of names, gives me more and more signs that I should focus on things more stable than man.

Man, this ineffable presence tells me, is a handful of dust that the winds of life toss to and fro. As soon as you see him in one form and begin to trust him, that same merciless wind scatters him and rearranges him into a different form, which this time may be hostile to you.

It urges me to turn my attention toward things much more stable, yet just as alive as he, such as the trees, the mountains, the rivers, the sea, the Moon, the Sun, and the sky. It assures me that my soul will find its peace, thus avoiding a multitude of disappointments.

These disappointments don't necessarily come from a personal level, but rather from the way man behaves toward his fellow man, animals, and the whole of nature.
